About the role

We are supporting a high‑demand project with the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust, providing weekend pre‑operative assessment services. The role offers regular, ongoing bookings for experienced nurses on a part‑time contractor basis.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments for surgical patients.
Document findings and ensure all required information is recorded accurately.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient readiness for surgery.
Adhere to NHS Trust protocols and maintain compliance with mandatory training.
Provide weekend coverage, typically 5‑6 nurses needed each weekend.

Required profile

NMC Registered Nurse (RGN) with proven experience in pre‑operative assessment.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Full compliance with DBS checks, mandatory training, and Right‑to‑Work documentation.
