About the role

Join Vision Express in Glasgow as a Pre‑registration Optometrist and gain hands‑on experience in a busy retail optical practice. You will work alongside qualified optometrists and dispensing opticians, developing your clinical expertise while delivering patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient eye examinations and refractions under supervision.
• Assist with the fitting and dispensing of spectacles and contact lenses.
• Participate in case discussions and learn treatment pathways for a variety of eye conditions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow health‑care regulations.
• Utilise modern diagnostic equipment to support clinical assessments.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an optometry degree.
• Eligibility for pre‑registration placement with the College of Optometrists.
• Strong interest in developing a career in eye care.
• Excellent communication and patient‑focused attitude.
