About the role
This two‑year fixed‑term apprenticeship offers a pathway to professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician. You will join the Pharmacy Department at The RUH, working a 7‑day rota between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Complete all educational assignments and deadlines required for GPhC registration.
- Build competency portfolios and gather workplace evidence.
- Prepare for and pass the End Point Assessment defined by the apprenticeship standards.
- Perform duties of a fully functional pharmacy team member under supervision.
- Follow local policies and procedures at all times.
- Work across a rotating schedule that considers individual circumstances and reasonable adjustments.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK and have been ordinarily resident for the past three years.
- Hold a visa that permits work and apprenticeship training (study visas are not eligible).
- Not currently enrolled in another government‑funded training programme.
- Provide evidence of eligibility, including ENIC statement for overseas qualifications.
- Willingness to complete Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.
