About the role

Novartis is seeking a Precision Medicine Director to shape and deliver precision‑medicine strategies that support its Neuroscience clinical programs. Working in a hybrid model, the director will act as a scientific and strategic partner, ensuring high‑quality execution of biomarker and diagnostic initiatives across global trials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement precision‑medicine strategies aligned with disease‑area and clinical‑program objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional biomarker sub‑teams covering molecular epidemiology, assay development, and data analysis.
• Serve as a core member of global clinical teams and act as the subject‑matter expert for precision medicine.
• Contribute to diagnostic target product profiles and companion‑diagnostic development plans.
• Identify and manage risks to ensure successful delivery of precision‑medicine programs.
• Author biomarker and diagnostic sections of key clinical development documents.
• Support regulatory submissions as a precision‑medicine and biomarker expert.
• Facilitate collaborations with external academic and scientific partners.
• Ensure compliance with medical‑device regulations and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or precision medicine within a life‑sciences environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of biomarker strategies, companion diagnostics, and clinical development processes.
• Experience working in regulated environments and complying with global regulatory standards.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder‑management, and collaboration skills.
