Precision Technician (AI)

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will deliver a high-quality reproduction and breeding service for cattle, providing expert advice to help customers meet their reproductive objectives. You will also receive Cogent’s internal Precision training to develop the Precision service.

Key responsibilities

• Detect heats and perform artificial insemination of cows.
• Record observations, inseminations and generate fertility and attention lists for customers.
• Use both chalk and electronic heat and health monitoring systems to identify cows in heat.
• Maintain accurate fertility data and produce herd reports.
• Run an efficient service using Cogent’s state-of-the-art heat detection system and whole-herd management solution.
• Prepare detailed action reports for customers and liaise with veterinarians and nutritionists.

Required profile

• Dairy experience with solid knowledge of animal husbandry.
• Professional, friendly attitude with excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to overcome challenges.
• Can-do attitude, proven team player delivering high-quality service.
• Full UK driving licence.
