Prep Technician

About the role

Join Vertu SEAT and Cupra Carlisle as a Prep Technician, playing a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience through high‑quality pre‑delivery inspections of new and used vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Ensure inspections are completed within agreed time frames while maintaining high productivity.
• Provide outstanding customer service and achieve first‑time fixes.
• Maintain quality workmanship and adhere to manufacturer guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant formal qualification – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Automotive.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.
• Own set of tools and a full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Pre‑delivery inspection (PDI) procedures.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while ensuring quality.

• Salary up to £40,000 per year (based on skills and experience).
