About the role

Join Vision Express in Edinburgh as a Pre‑registration Optometrist and gain hands‑on experience in a busy retail optical practice. This full‑time placement is part of a structured programme approved by the College of Optometrists, offering you real‑world clinical exposure and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient eye examinations and provide accurate refractions.
• Assist with dispensing spectacles and contact lenses.
• Collaborate with experienced optometrists and dispensing opticians on case management.
• Document clinical findings and maintain patient records.
• Participate in training sessions covering a range of eye conditions.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist completing or about to start the pre‑registration year.
• Strong interest in clinical optometry and patient care.
• Willingness to work in a retail environment and engage with customers.
