Pre‑Sales Engineer – French Speaking

About the role

We are looking for a French‑speaking Pre‑Sales Engineer to join Sovos’ global tax and compliance technology team. In this senior‑level, commercially‑driven position you will act as a strategic technical advisor on complex, multi‑country sales engagements, helping customers understand regulatory requirements and the business value of our solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops across multinational customer organisations to map transaction flows, ERP landscapes and regulatory exposure.
• Design scalable, cross‑border solution architectures that align with business and compliance needs.
• Present the commercial value of Sovos solutions and influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Partner with Sales to shape account strategy, qualify opportunities and advance deals.
• Own technical responses for enterprise RFPs, RFIs and global tenders, delivering tailored demonstrations.
• Act as a trusted advisor in partner‑led and embedded solution models and ensure smooth hand‑over to implementation teams.
• Contribute to global pre‑sales best practices, messaging and competitive positioning.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in sales engineering or technical pre‑sales within enterprise software.
• Proven ability to support complex, multi‑country or enterprise‑level deals.
• Strong communication skills in English and French, with the capacity to quickly grasp regulatory frameworks.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaborate across Sales, Alliances, Product and Professional Services.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems and enterprise‑wide solution design.
• Understanding of tax and regulatory compliance concepts.
