Pre‑School Room Leader (Ages 3‑5) – London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years professional to lead a busy pre‑school room for children aged 3‑5. The role is based in the City of London with an upcoming move to a brand‑new, purpose‑built nursery in Shoreditch, offering a modern environment for both staff and children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of practitioners within the pre‑school room.
• Plan and deliver a creative, play‑based curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Monitor children’s learning and development, producing accurate observations and assessments.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.
• Contribute to the nursery’s ethos and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Full Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or higher).
• Proven experience in a nursery setting, preferably in a senior or room‑leader capacity.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for delivering high‑quality early childhood education.
