Press & Small Fabrications Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Press & Small Fabrications Operator to join a production team that manufactures high‑quality sheet‑metal components for the aerospace and defence sectors. The role involves operating a range of press and small‑fabrication machines to produce precision parts in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain presses and related fabrication equipment according to work instructions.
• Perform fabrication processes such as pressing, forming, bending, punching, drilling, deburring and assembly.
• Produce components to engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections using gauges and measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Record production data, ensure traceability and complete required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report any quality concerns or non‑conforming products.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to meet schedules and quality targets.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating presses or other fabrication equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Good manual dexterity with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of quality standards and safe working practices.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
