Pricing Manager - Insurance

About the role

This high‑impact position will own pricing decisions within a growing personal lines insurance business. You will balance leadership of a small analytical team with hands‑on work, driving commercial outcomes through data‑driven pricing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of pricing analysts, setting priorities and providing guidance.
• Translate model outputs into clear, commercially actionable pricing decisions.
• Analyse claims, policy, and market data to uncover pricing opportunities.
• Enhance existing pricing models by integrating new data sets and improving performance.
• Collaborate with actuarial, data science, underwriting and other cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor market trends to keep pricing strategies competitive and profitable.
• Support the delivery and execution of the overall pricing strategy.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in pricing, analytics or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to interpret data and turn insights into business actions.
• Experience working with or assessing pricing or risk models.
• Exposure to personal lines insurance is beneficial, though strong analytical backgrounds from adjacent sectors are also considered.
• Interest in leadership, with experience mentoring or managing others, or a clear motivation to do so.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Python.
• Working knowledge of R.
• SQL proficiency (useful addition).
