About the role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher. This permanent, full‑time position offers immediate start (or September) and full classroom responsibility within a supportive, well‑established environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in a UK primary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and curriculum knowledge.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Desirable: experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2, knowledge of phonics and intervention strategies, and experience in diverse, inclusive school communities.
