Primary Classroom Teacher – South Leeds

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated primary teacher to lead an energetic classroom in South Leeds. The role starts in September and offers a supportive environment that balances academic ambition with outdoor learning and pupil well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inclusive lessons across core and foundation subjects.
• Create a structured, positive classroom atmosphere based on mutual respect and high expectations.
• Monitor pupil data to identify and close learning gaps.
• Direct teaching assistants creatively to maximise achievement.
• Maintain proactive communication with parents, carers and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school (early career teachers are encouraged to apply).
• Strong understanding of the UK National Primary Curriculum and effective behaviour management.
• Current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and relationship‑building skills.
