Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Supply Positions

About the role

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join a flexible supply pool serving primary schools across Cheshire and Staffordshire. You will be placed on day‑to‑day, short‑term or long‑term assignments, gaining valuable classroom experience while supporting schools with staffing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the national curriculum for EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of each class.
• Collaborate with school staff and follow safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and recently completed teacher training.
• Strong commitment to child welfare and safeguarding.
• Ability to quickly integrate into new school settings.
• Enthusiasm, reliability and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Behaviour management techniques.
• Lesson planning and differentiation.
• Effective communication with pupils and staff.
