Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Part‑time

About the role

Remedy Education is looking for an experienced Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive, inclusive primary school in Lewisham. The role starts in September 2026 and runs three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) on a long‑term, part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across different year groups as an HLTA.
• Support class teachers and provide cover for lessons when needed.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain pupil engagement.
• Contribute to planning, assessment and the overall learning environment.

Required profile

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working as an HLTA in a primary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead learning confidently and adapt flexibly.
• Commitment to supporting pupil progress and development.
