Primary HLTA / Cover Supervisor – Full‑time (East London)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Supervisor to support an OFSTED‑rated ‘Good’ 3‑form entry primary school in Newham, East London. The role starts in September 2025 and offers a full‑time, permanent placement within a supportive and inclusive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across EYFS to KS2, covering whole classes as needed.
• Lead interventions and booster groups to raise pupil attainment.
• Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and monitor pupil progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience covering whole classes from Nursery to Year 6.
• Confidence delivering pre‑planned lessons and working with small groups.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Ability to follow and adapt pre‑planned curriculum materials.
• Effective communication with pupils and staff.
