Primary PPA Teacher (3 days/week, Sep–Dec)

About the role

Reed Education is looking for an enthusiastic Primary PPA Teacher to provide cover across a welcoming primary school in Dursley from September to the Christmas break. This part‑time, three‑days‑a‑week role offers early‑career teachers the chance to deliver pre‑planned lessons and maintain learning continuity while class teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across the primary age range following the school’s planning and policies.
• Provide high‑quality Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) cover, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour positively and maintain a supportive, inclusive environment.
• Assess pupil engagement and give feedback to the class teacher as required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
• Passion for primary education and pupil development.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Flexibility to teach across different year groups.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
