Primary School Administrator – Temporary (Full‑time)

About the role

Due to a late resignation, a welcoming primary school near Westhoughton is seeking a temporary School Admin Officer to start on 1 September. Working full‑time (8:45 am‑3:00 pm), you will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors, ensuring the school office runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage front‑of‑house reception duties and handle telephone and email enquiries.
• Support pupil attendance recording and related administrative processes.
• Maintain accurate school records and liaise with parents, staff and external agencies.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the school leadership team.

Required profile

• Previous administration experience, ideally within a school setting.
• Basic knowledge of SIMS and/or Arbor (desirable).
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and a professional, friendly manner.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment.
