Primary School Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary) in Havering

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a community‑focused primary school in Havering to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026 and runs for two academic terms until July 2027, offering the chance to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils.
• Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and communicate progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom in line with safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year teaching experience in EYFS/KS1/KS2 within the UK.
• Current safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Up‑to‑date safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Effective classroom management and communication with parents.
