About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support staff and students at a primary school in North Leeds. The role involves helping deliver lessons, providing individual support, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activity planning.
- Provide one‑to‑one support to pupils as required.
- Monitor behaviour and help create a positive, safe learning atmosphere.
- Grade assignments and give constructive feedback.
- Prepare teaching materials and keep the classroom organised.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the teacher or principal.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with basic classroom management techniques.
- Experience with children who have special educational needs is advantageous.
