Primary School Teaching Assistant (Supply)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to provide daily supply cover in a variety of local primary schools starting in September. This flexible position allows you to work across different classrooms, supporting pupils and teachers while gaining valuable experience in diverse educational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day classroom assistance to teachers in primary schools.
• Support pupils with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Provide targeted help for children with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools.
• Experience working with children who have SEN needs.
• Positive, patient, and adaptable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
