About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in West Leeds. You will work closely with teachers to support classroom learning and help maintain a positive, safe environment for pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students as needed.
- Monitor student behaviour and promote a constructive classroom atmosphere.
- Grade assignments and give constructive feedback.
- Prepare lesson materials and keep the classroom organised.
- Undertake additional duties assigned by the teacher or principal.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with basic classroom management techniques.
- Experience with children who have special needs is an advantage.
