Primary SEN Teacher – Day Rate £150-£180

About the role

Hanson Recruitment is partnering with reputable primary schools in Bristol to find a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher. The position can be part‑time or full‑time during school hours and is paid on a daily rate of £150‑£180, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, project‑based lessons for pupils with special educational needs.
• Adapt curriculum and resources to meet a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SEN consultants and support teams to monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil achievement and attendance.
• Provide pastoral support and foster positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with primary teaching experience.
• Proven experience working with children who have special educational needs, either in a mainstream or specialist setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy, especially for pupils with long‑term absence.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
