About the role
We are partnering with a well‑resourced primary school in Tower Hamlets that values inclusion. The school seeks a passionate Primary SEN Teacher to start in September 2026, helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN.
- Create and implement personalised learning strategies and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to optimise outcomes.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches as required.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN in either specialist or mainstream settings.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, resilient, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and best‑practice frameworks.
- Ability to design and adapt curriculum for varied learning needs.
- Effective use of assessment data to inform instruction.
