Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (Grade 3, Part‑time mornings)

About the role

This is a fixed‑term, part‑time position (5 mornings per week) supporting Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in a Church of England primary school. The role runs until 21 July 2027 with the possibility of extension. You will provide targeted assistance to children with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, delivering planned interventions.
• Monitor and record pupil progress in line with SENDCo and senior leadership guidance.
• Observe and evaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities.
• Support behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and movement around the school.
• Plan and deliver small‑group activities.
• Complete intervention records and required documentation.
• Apply the National Teaching Assistant Standards in daily practice.
