Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Grade 3 (Part‑time mornings)

About the role

We are seeking a Grade 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to work part‑time mornings in a Church of England primary school in Gloucester. The role supports pupils in Years 5 and 6, with flexibility to cover Years 3 and 4, delivering targeted interventions and helping children with special educational needs access the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND.
• Deliver planned interventions to raise attainment and progress.
• Monitor and record pupil progress in line with SENDCo and senior leadership guidance.
• Observe and evaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities.
• Support behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and movement around the school.
• Plan and deliver small‑group activities.
• Complete intervention records and required documentation.
• Apply the National Teaching Assistant Standards in daily practice.
