About the role
Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in a welcoming primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and the school's SENCO to deliver personalised learning experiences that help each pupil thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) to ensure progress.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and adapting lessons for diverse learners.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusive classroom culture.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school environment.
- Calm, patient and empathetic attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine passion for removing barriers to learning.
- Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check (or existing clearance).
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
