Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special‑needs school in Bolton from September 2026. You will work closely with pupils who have autism, communication challenges and a range of learning difficulties, helping them achieve academic and social progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored, engaging learning activities.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and personal development.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other support staff.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Patient, caring and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
