Primary SEND Teaching Assistant – Brent (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a creative primary school in Brent. The role starts in September and offers a supportive environment where you can develop your skills while making a real difference to children with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 support to pupils with SEND across Reception and Key Stage 1.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive lessons and activities.
• Support the school’s creative and inclusive approach using drama, arts, sport and movement.
• Help monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual education plans.
• Promote a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Proactive, resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Experience working with children or young people in any capacity.
• Ability to build strong relationships and inspire confidence in pupils.
• Commitment to helping children thrive academically and emotionally.

Required skills

• Background in Drama and Performing Arts, Sports Coaching, Dance and Movement, Creative Arts, Youth Work or Early Years Education.
