Primary SEND Tutor – 1‑to‑1 Support in Liverpool

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Primary SEND Tutor to work on a 1‑to‑1 basis with pupils in the Liverpool area. The role combines classroom teaching of core functional skills with mentoring activities that help young people integrate into the community and develop life‑skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one tuition in core subjects, tailored to each pupil’s functional‑skills needs.
• Provide mentoring support, including local outings, CV writing assistance, and future‑planning guidance.
• Facilitate life‑skill development such as budgeting, communication, and independence.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and liaise with parents or guardians as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils in a UK setting.
• Creative, patient, and able to think outside the box when designing learning activities.
