About the role
Academics is looking for enthusiastic primary supply teachers to provide short‑term cover across a range of schools and nurseries in Brighton. Whether you can work one day a week or five, the role offers flexible assignments that match your availability.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils.
- Provide day‑to‑day and short‑term cover in local primary schools and nurseries.
- Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment for all students.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and school policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
- Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools.
- Positive, adaptable approach to classroom teaching.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Strong classroom management techniques.
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons across multiple key stages.
- Effective communication with pupils, staff and parents.
