About the role
HAYS Education is seeking qualified primary teachers to provide flexible supply cover across schools in Hailsham and the wider East Sussex area. The role can be undertaken on a full‑time or part‑time basis, allowing you to match your teaching style and personal commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the primary curriculum in line with current educational standards.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to unfamiliar lesson plans, timetables and school policies.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff to support student progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or completion of the induction year.
- Recent classroom experience (within the last five years).
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum changes.
- Creative, positive attitude and professional manner.
Required skills
- Strong classroom management.
- Effective communication with TAs and school personnel.
