About the role
Hays Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to provide cover in schools across Hastings and the surrounding area. This flexible role is ideal for newly qualified teachers or experienced practitioners who want to work on a day‑to‑day basis and fit teaching around their personal schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the National Curriculum for primary pupils in a safe and engaging manner.
- Prepare and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of each class you cover.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and any safeguarding concerns.
- Collaborate with the permanent teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Clean DBS check.
- Teaching experience in a school setting within the last five years.
- Strong desire to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Required skills
- Ability to plan and deliver primary lessons effectively.
- Classroom management and behaviour handling.
- Clear communication with pupils, staff and parents.
