About the role
Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Supply Teaching Assistants to support schools across Plymouth starting in September 2026. This temporary, full‑time position offers the chance to make a direct impact on pupil development while working within a professional education network.
Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom support, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Facilitate one‑to‑one or small‑group learning sessions in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and academically stimulating environment for pupils from Reception to Year 6.
- Adapt quickly to diverse school settings and collaborate effectively with teaching staff.
Required profile
- Proven experience working with children or young people (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, childcare, volunteering).
- Strong communication, reliability, and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
- Possession of an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Availability to work 8:30 AM‑3:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, during term time.
Required skills
- Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to process a new application).
