Primary Teacher (ECT) – Outstanding School in Chelmsford

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join an Outstanding, supportive primary school in Chelmsford. The role is full‑time, starting in September 2026, and is ideal for teachers who are newly qualified or within the first five years of their career.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1‑4 pupils.
• Utilise the school’s extensive bank of resources and maintain autonomy over teaching approaches.
• Collaborate with a dedicated Teaching Assistant in each class and additional support staff for pupils with EHCPs.
• Contribute to the school’s excellent behaviour standards and uphold its Outstanding Ofsted rating.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teacher with UK QTS.
• Within the first five years of teaching experience (ECT1 to MPS6).
• Enthusiastic, sociable, and a strong team player.
• Solid career history and good academic background.
