Primary Teacher (KS2) – Southwark SEN School

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for Key Stage 2 pupils in a supportive SEN school in Southwark. The role focuses on teaching Year 3 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex learning needs, helping them build confidence, communication and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual ASD and complex‑need profiles.
- Create and implement individual learning plans that promote communication and independence.
- Collaborate with speech and language therapists, SENCOs and other specialists.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress against personalised targets.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching primary‑aged students, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and communication strategies.
- Excellent teamwork, empathy and classroom management skills.
- Passion for supporting every child to achieve their best.
