Primary Teacher – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a progressive school in South Leeds. The role offers a full‑time placement within a supportive environment that values innovative teaching and staff wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the primary curriculum to a diverse classroom, adapting lessons for mixed abilities.
• Implement effective behaviour management to maintain a calm, focused learning atmosphere.
• Use formative assessment data to plan daily lessons and support pupils who may fall behind.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, deploying them strategically to maximise student achievement.
• Participate in extracurricular clubs, parents’ evenings, and school sports events.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early‑career teachers and experienced teachers are welcome.
• Experience managing classrooms with mixed language proficiency; EAL experience is a plus.
• Current Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to high expectations and academic ambition.
