About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Primary Teacher to support the SEND provision of a mainstream primary school in St Helens. The role is primarily supply‑based with the possibility of long‑term placement, starting September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and complex needs.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to promote engagement and progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in SEND, specialist education or inclusive mainstream settings.
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Resilient, patient and empathetic approach.
Required skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
