Primary Teacher – September Start (EYFS/KS1/KS2)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic primary teachers to start in September across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Portsmouth and surrounding schools. Opportunities include day supply, long‑term placements and permanent posts, suitable for both early‑career and experienced educators.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils aged 3‑11.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a safe learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in a primary setting (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring young learners.
• Positive, flexible approach and commitment to safeguarding.

Required skills

• Behaviour management techniques.
• Safeguarding and Prevent awareness.
• Phonics instruction.
• SEN (Special Educational Needs) strategies.
