Primary Teacher – Small Class (≤10)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join an award‑winning school in Girton, Cambridge. You will work with a small class of up to ten pupils, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to each learner’s needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum across all subjects for a small class.
• Organise classroom resources, displays and pupil groupings to create a stimulating environment.
• Manage support staff during lessons and ensure effective collaboration.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through books, calls and meetings.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team, including pastoral managers, key stage leads and therapists.
• Prepare accurate end‑of‑term reports and progress data.
• Check health and safety risk assessments for trips and outings.
• Lead key stage meetings on curriculum, teaching, staffing and learner matters.
• Provide supervision and annual appraisal for line‑managed staff.
• Participate in lesson observation schedules and give constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A good honours degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
