Primary Teacher – Year 4 (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with well‑organised primary schools in Brent to recruit a confident Year 4 Teacher for the September 2026 start. The role can be taken on a full‑time or part‑time basis, allowing you to match the position to your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the KS2 National Curriculum with creativity and rigour, focusing on times‑tables fluency, reading for pleasure, written composition and mathematical reasoning.
• Use assessment data to personalise learning, plan interventions and track pupil progress.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCO staff to support pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Share planning across the year group to keep workload manageable and ensure consistent expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Years 3‑5.
• Familiarity with the Multiplication Tables Check and strategies for building times‑tables fluency.
• Strong subject knowledge across core and foundation subjects at KS2 level.
• Experience differentiating for mixed‑ability groups, SEND and EAL.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child‑protection knowledge.

Required skills

• Effective use of formative and summative assessment.
• Positive behaviour management and relationship‑building with pupils.
