About the role
This permanent position is for a Year 4/5 class teacher in a highly regarded primary school in Burnley, starting September 2026. The school is known for strong pupil outcomes, inclusive practice and a focus on high‑quality teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils.
- Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management.
- Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practice.
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum; experience in Year 4/5 is desirable.
- Reflective practitioner who works well within a collaborative team.
