Primary Teacher – Year 5 (Key Stage 2)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils and help create a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil participation.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to whole‑school activities and initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Suitable for newly qualified teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
