Primary Teachers for Secondary School Intervention – September Start

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Primary Teachers to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy support to secondary‑school pupils who need extra help before fully transitioning to the secondary curriculum. This temporary, full‑time or part‑time role starts in September and offers the chance to make a tangible difference in young learners' confidence and achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups of students.
• Support pupils working below expected levels to close attainment gaps.
• Build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematical understanding.
• Track progress and tailor support in collaboration with school staff.
• Help students reach the required levels to progress successfully through secondary school.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
• Strong experience teaching English and maths.
• Nurturing, adaptable approach to learning.
• Confidence working with small groups and differentiated needs.
• Genuine passion for helping students overcome educational barriers.
