Primary Teaching Assistant (0.6 FTE) – Permanent

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Bibury, Gloucestershire to recruit a General Teaching Assistant on a permanent, part‑time basis (0.6 FTE, term‑time only) starting September 2026. The role supports pupils across the curriculum in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with teaching and learning activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce lessons.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development.
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive school atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
• Enthusiastic, patient and caring attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team‑player who can collaborate effectively.
• Commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in education (desirable).
