Primary Teaching Assistant – Exeter (Full‑Time/Part‑Time)

About the role

Join a supportive school community in Exeter as a Primary Teaching Assistant. You will work alongside the classroom teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide focused support to pupils during term‑time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with daily lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to reinforce reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• Create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and support pupils during break times.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching or volunteering.
• Patient, resilient and encouraging personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

What we offer

• Fixed school hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, term‑time only) with no evenings or weekends.
