Primary Teaching Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Infant School in Eastleigh. The position is full‑time, five days a week, starting in September 2026 and running until December 2026, with the possibility of extension based on school needs and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Assist with classroom preparation and activities.
• Provide additional guidance to pupils who need extra support.
• Support children with SEND needs when required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑aged children is desirable.
• Previous Teaching Assistant experience is advantageous.
• A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
