Primary Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to support classrooms and provide one‑to‑one assistance across EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2 in schools located in Greenwich and the wider South East London area. Opportunities include full‑time, long‑term and daily assignments in both mainstream and specialist settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver whole‑class and individual support to pupils in early years and primary phases.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management and safeguarding duties.
• Adapt support to meet the diverse learning needs of children.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Empathetic, kind and caring with a child‑first mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proactive in identifying and meeting pupils’ learning needs.
• Passionate, enthusiastic and creative when engaging with primary‑age children.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
