About the role

Join a supportive primary school in Devon as a Primary Teaching Assistant, working with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This full‑time, temporary position offers the chance to make a positive impact on young learners during their foundational years.

Key responsibilities

Support pupils with literacy and numeracy activities to improve learning outcomes.
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and educational activities.
Encourage pupil engagement and confidence through positive reinforcement.
Provide constructive feedback to the teacher regarding pupil progress and areas needing attention.

Required profile

Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
Patient and adaptable approach to diverse learning needs.
Strong passion for working with young children and supporting their educational journey.

Required skills

Knowledge of phonics.
