Primary Teaching Assistant (KS2) – Day Rate £85-£95

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to support KS2 classrooms across schools in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire & Humberside area. The role starts in September 2024 and is initially offered on a supply basis, with the potential to progress to a permanent placement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the classroom for each session alongside the class teacher.
• Provide small‑group or one‑to‑one support to pupils as required.
• Assist teachers with planning, record‑keeping and administrative tasks.
• Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 acceptable).
• Current Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Availability to start in September 2024.
• Experience working with children, preferably including special‑needs support.

Required skills

• Patience and ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Empathetic, kind and approachable demeanor.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management techniques.
